Ken-shen ryu Guiding Council
Dr. Philip A. Payne, Th. D.
​Dr. Payne has been in love with the combative sciences for as long as he can remember. At the age of 10, his mother gave him his wish of training in a dedicated manner and he never looked back. Today, he holds master grades in Jujitsu and Okinawan Karate, a 4th degree black sash in Chin na, and a shodan in three systems of Kyusho-jitsu, in addition to teaching Kali. He is also a certified Reiki master and holds a practitioner's grade in Ling Qi. He is the author of 7 books, with an 8th in the works. In 2009, he was inducted into the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame, and in the same year the International Martial Arts Council of America named him their "Instructor of the Year."


Examiner Josh Slater
Josh Slater is a 7th degree black sash in Mountain Ancient Palms Kung Fu, a 5th degree black sash in Xiao Zhang Kung Fu, and a 3rd degree black belt in Borja Family Kali. He is also an ordained minister and an experienced missionary. In 2014 Dr. Payne named him as the director of KSRI's White Tiger Society.

Professor Raymond Pridgen
Shoushi Raymond Pridgen is a 9th degree black sash and inheritor of Pu Moshi Kung Fu. He is also veteran of the United States armed forces, and a former police officer. In 2012, Dr. Payne honored him for his contributions to the Ken-shen ryu curriculum, by naming him as a professor of the system.

Examiner Anna Moll
Anna Moll is a certified instructor in Xiao Zhang Kung Fu. She is also an accomplished practitioner of several healing arts, including Healing Touch and Pu Moshi Qi Gong. She is an assistant instructor of Ken-shen ryu and, along with her husband, J.J., she offers instruction in Evansville, Indiana.
